PulsePath Student Privacy Notice

1. Direct Identifiers Not Collected Through the App

PulsePath does not ask you to provide, attempt to infer, or store through the App your:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Student ID
• Employee ID
• Mailing address
• Social Security number
• Similar direct identifier

You do not need to create a user account to use the App.

2. Randomly Allocated Signup Code

When you begin using the App, you are assigned a randomly allocated signup code. This code is generated without reference to your identity and does not contain your name or other direct identity information.

PulsePath uses the signup code to index App data. Data stored by PulsePath is indexed by the signup code rather than by your name or contact information.

PulsePath does not receive or maintain a list linking signup codes to names, email addresses, phone numbers, student IDs, or similar direct identifiers.

3. Data Collected

The App collects limited data needed to provide, support, secure, evaluate, and improve the Service. This may include:

• Voluntary responses to in-app multiple-choice prompts
• Response timestamps
• App activity needed to operate and troubleshoot the Service
• Basic technical and operational records, such as app version, device type, operating system, and error logs

PulsePath does not collect GPS coordinates, precise location data, or background location data through the App.

4. How Data Is Used

PulsePath may use App data to:

• Operate, support, secure, and troubleshoot the Service
• Understand engagement patterns
• Generate in-app messages, summaries, or reflections
• Provide cohort-level trends and user-level dashboard views indexed by signup code
• Evaluate and improve App performance, stability, and functionality
• Inform future iterations of the Service

PulsePath does not sell user data and does not use user data for third-party advertising, third-party commercial profiling, or third-party behavioral targeting.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

PulsePath may make user-level App data available through authorized administrative dashboards. User-level App data made available by PulsePath is indexed by the randomly allocated signup code and is not tied by PulsePath to your name, email address, phone number, student ID, employee ID, mailing address, Social Security number, or similar direct identifier.

PulsePath may share data with service providers used to host, operate, secure, and support the Service, such as cloud infrastructure providers. These providers are permitted to use the data only to provide services to PulsePath.

PulsePath may disclose data if required by law or if necessary to protect the Service, users, PulsePath, or others.

6. Data Storage and Security

PulsePath uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data collected through the App. Safeguards include:

• Indexing App data by randomly allocated signup code
• Encrypted data transfer using HTTPS/TLS
• Access controls for storage and administrative systems
• Limited access for personnel with a need to operate, support, secure, or administer the Service

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and PulsePath cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Not Collected Through the App

PulsePath does not collect or store through the App:

• Student names
• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Student ID numbers
• Grades
• Transcripts
• Health records
• Biometric data
• GPS coordinates, precise location data, or background location data
• Payment information

8. Your Choices

You may take the following actions at any time:

• Request deletion of data stored on PulsePath servers that is associated with your signup code by using the deletion request available in the App
• Stop using the App
• Delete the App from your device

If you want data stored on PulsePath servers to be deleted, submit the in-app deletion request before deleting the App. Deleting the App from your device does not by itself delete data stored on PulsePath servers. Once the App is deleted, PulsePath will not be able to determine which server-side data belonged to that App installation.

9. Changes to This Notice

PulsePath may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in functionality, data practices, or legal requirements. Updates may be provided through the App or another reasonable method.
